At the heart of the Dark Flag 600 Ultra EC (Electronic Clutch) is a 598.5cc, liquid-cooled V4 engine producing 52 kW at 10.500 rpm and 55 Nm of torque at 8.000 rpm. A six-speed transmission and electronic throttle complete the powertrain, bringing a four-cylinder configuration to a cruiser designed around the connection between rider and machine.
Engineering Beyond Convention
The Dark Flag 600 Ultra EC introduces an all-new twin-spar frame, a central element of its engineering development. Compared with the Dark Flag 500 Commander, the new frame is 3.5kg lighter, with 40% greater torsional rigidity. The revised layout allows a central, large-volume intake to replace the side-mounted airbox, with a stated 30% improvement in intake efficiency. The new packaging also creates cleaner legroom, reducing overall width by more than 40mm and shifting the footpegs by 11mm compared with the previous model.
The motorcycle features second-generation dual-chamber rear air suspension and BEC (BENDA Electronic Clutch) Mk III clutch control. The suspension automatically levels the motorcycle on start-up and lowers it on shutdown, linking its low parked stance with the riding configuration. The system is designed to make everyday use more convenient, particularly when mounting, dismounting, or managing repeated stop-starts.
The electronic clutch allows the rider to pull away, change gear and stop without operating the clutch lever. The clutch lever is retained, allowing riders to choose between automated clutch operation and manual clutch control, while gear changes by foot remain manual. This combines the character of a conventional riding experience with less work at the controls, particularly in situations involving repeated starts. Electronic throttle control and one-touch cruise control add further convenience for longer journeys.
Contemporary Design
At the front, a central LED projector headlight is framed by four signature fang-shaped daytime running light elements. The cockpit combines a main TFT display with a tank-integrated secondary screen showing coolant temperature and fuel level, keeping key information visible alongside the main instruments. USB-A and USB-C ports provide charging options for compatible devices.
The finishing details further distinguish the Dark Flag 600 Ultra EC. An Orion seat with distinctive stitching, a one-piece, thick-wall acrylic badge and chrome-accented, gamepad-style switchgear bring individual touches to the motorcycle's appearance and rider interface. Symmetrical dual-sided exhaust outlets complete a design that combines cruiser proportions with a contemporary technical character.
Together, the Dark Flag 600 Ultra EC's powertrain, revised frame, suspension technology and considered finishing details offer a different interpretation of the modern cruiser, with engineering and rider technology playing a central role in its identity.
Unveiled at EICMA 2026, the Dark Flag 600 Ultra EC is planned for European introduction in 2027 and is expected to be available in three colours: Cast Green, Mecha Black and Stella Grey.
Alongside the 52 kW version, a 35 kW version for A2 licence holders will be available. Further details of the European specification and market availability will be announced closer to launch.
